Black Pepper

This smokey, woody, mid-note essential oil has slowly become one of my favourite oils to use. Black pepper, Piper nigrum, with its warm spicy scent is native to South West India and cultivated in tropical countries, including India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Madagascar.

It’s warming properties are stimulating and strengthening on the nervous system. It will boost in times of mental fatigue and re-energize. I love it for its circulatory stimulating properties, as someone who suffers from poor circulation Black pepper has been my recent go to. Combine it with rose oil for a luxurious scent.

Hand warming blend:

2 drops Black pepper essential oil

2 drops Rose oil essential oil

1 drop Bergamot essential oil

Mix together and add to 10 ml sweet almond oil. Massage into cold, painful hands

Warming and rejuvenating Bath blend:

2 drops Black pepper essential oil

2 drops Rose oil essential oil

1 drop Ylang Ylang essential

1 drop Bergamot essential oil

Mix in 10 ml of sweet almond oil and add 10 drops of mixture into a lovely warm bath.

Please always use essential oils with considered care, just because something is natural it does not mean its safe. Always consult with a qualified aromatherapist if unsure especially pregnant women.
