Desperately blowing on her hands in a bid to warm them up, the pain was becoming unbearable. The house had only just begun to warm and the heat from the fire was making little difference. The icy wind was mercilessly thrashing at the windows, demanding to be let in, causing draughts strong enough to make the flames flicker to near extinction.
The short time she had been out was enough to chill her bones. She knew she faced a painful hour or so as the circulation came back to her hands. Turning to her trusted apothecary store, she gathered oils of rosemary, black pepper, lemon, ginger and cajeput, the fragrance of the oils already warming the room.
Carefully she measured out
4 drops Lemon
2 drops Black pepper
2 drops Rosemary
2 drops Ginger
2 drops Cajeput
and mixed them in 60ml sweet almond oil
She gently rubbed the warming mixture between her hands, taking her time, she started to feel the life come back into her fingers. Returning to the fireside, warm tea in hand, she settled by the fire to read.

Please always use essential oils with considered care, just because something is natural it does not mean its safe. Always consult with a qualified aromatherapist if unsure especially pregnant women.
