The first quarter passed me by this year. It has been a tough start to the year for many reasons, but I am feeling back in the mood to set some new fresh goals.
I usually only do annual goals, but I read somewhere about the concept of setting quarterly goals and calling them your Quarterly Quests. I love the thought of making them sound like a quest, to make them sound more fun and enchanting, even if one of my goals is just to get quotes to replace the rotting eaves on my house!
Along the way, there will be baddies, monsters, and obstacles trying to get in my way and put me off my goals. Gremlins in my head telling me not to be so silly, you can’t do this piece of work, they will disrupt my sleep and keep niggling at me, and I will have to slay them down and continue on my quest!
Its exam season this quarter and so my sons too will be having to harness up, put on their armour and go into battle with those fire-breathing treacherous exams! (there was much eye rolling when I suggested this to them but oh well!)
