The rain had lifted and autumn was in the air. She loved the damp, slightly smoky smell that comes with this change of season. It reminded her of one of her favourite oils: Deep and earthy, woody with a touch of smoke, the mysterious vetiver which is so calming and soothing on the soul.
The name vetiver itself has some slightly different meanings, but she liked ‘woven roots’ the best. She was able to weave the oil into her blends to release its specialness. Its fixative nature binding the rose, geranium and bergamot oils to create a balancing and calming creation. It was a cherished member of her apothecary.
The Mysterious Vetiver Blend:
2 drops Vetiver
2 drops Rose
2 drops Geranium
3 drops Bergamot
.
Vetiver is a base fixative oil so it ‘holds’ the other oils nicely in your blend. Only a drop or two is needed as it is quite strong.
As always, please use essential oils with considered care. Just because something is natural doesn’t mean its safe. If in doubt consult with a qualified aromatherapist.
