A Day of Inspiration

Ok maybe not a whole day of inspiration, but I was lucky enough to get a good few hours to putter around Oxford. Not that I need any convincing to make the trip into this beautiful city, but there is a new exhibition currently on at the Ashmolean museum – Aphrodite The making of a Goddess, so I had to go!

After sauntering around and soaking up the beauty and history, I spent a glorious time reading Venus & Aphrodite History of a Goddess by Bettany Hughes in the café, then onto the breezy autumn peace of the gardens at Balliol.

I managed to find a garden table to myself and did some writing, journaling really, just getting some thoughts of my head, contemplating some future directions in life. It was a much needed escape (spas and the likes are not my thing at all – give me peace and quiet, some nature and a notebook instead please!).

It was a much needed time and whilst not feeling completely renewed, it certainly filled some up some of the well, and made me realise that I need to take some time occasionally to do the things that bring me joy and inspiration.

Hope you manage to get some time, at some point in the month, to do what brings inspiration into your life.
