I have done much complaining about the heat recently, but enough! I am not going to mention it again (I promise!). I am going to embrace it instead and adapt to these unusual weather conditions that have been affecting my creativity.
No more excuses, I am getting up early before the heat fries my brain.
I wrote in this previous post – Best Time to Write? – that I found I do my best creative writing in the evening, as otherwise it has to compete against all the things on my never-ending to-do list.
This early morning experiment has confirmed that this, in fact, is still the case…..however, what I have discovered is that muddled ideas, plots and outlines are much clearer. I can see the woods from the trees now with a couple of projects.
It’s still not ideal, and I am not quite used to getting up quite so early, but progress is being made so for now it will do. But I am not going to lie, I am longing to get back to that cosy, snuggly writing time with the cooler weather!
Do you change your writing time to suit the weather?
